American Companies Honeywell and Teradyne Robotics Team Up to Transform Material Transport

American companies Honeywell and Teradyne Robotics have joined forces to revolutionize automation in logistics, warehousing, and the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector across the Americas and Europe. This strategic partnership integrates Teradyne Robotics’ advanced autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and collaborative robots (cobots) with Honeywell’s industry-leading software, implementation expertise, and cybersecurity capabilities, paving the way for smarter, more secure, and scalable automation solutions.
“This relationship with Honeywell will provide businesses with end-to-end solutions, from automation system design through to implementation and maintenance,” said Ujjwal Kumar, Group President of Teradyne Robotics. “The combined strengths of Teradyne Robotics and Honeywell will help companies tackle the challenges they are experiencing today with labor-intensive, inefficient material-handling tasks.”
Honeywell notes that Teradyne Robotics, which includes Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) and Universal Robots, has deployed over 110,000 advanced robots globally. Its portfolio features infrastructure-free autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) designed to take on routine, low-value tasks such as material transport and heavy pallet lifting within distribution centres. This allows businesses to redeploy human workers to more strategic, value-added roles. Teradyne’s advanced robotics platforms also enable AI-driven capabilities, including precise motion control, optimized navigation, and the execution of complex tasks. Notably, the MiR1200 Pallet Jack uses an AI-based perception system to detect and move pallets efficiently in large warehouse environments. It enables a reduction in pick-and-place time and significantly increases throughput.
“Honeywell’s relationship with Teradyne Robotics empowers operations in distribution centres and warehouses through end-to-end automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency, optimize resources and improve worker safety,” said Chad Briggs, president of Honeywell Intelligrated. “Together, we’re making automation adoption accessible and impactful for organizations, enabling them to focus on strategic goals and drive tangible results.”
