CCI Launches ‘Trans Africa’ to Reimagine Cross-Border Logistics Across the Continent

As African markets gain momentum in the global trade landscape, logistics remains a critical enabler or bottleneck for progress. Recognising both the challenge and the opportunity, CCI Worldwide Logistics, the international freight forwarding arm of the CCI Group, has officially launched ‘Trans Africa’, a tech-powered logistics service designed to reshape how goods move across borders on the continent.

With an ambitious start, the service is expected to handle 5,000 TEUs annually via a mix of air and sea freight, and it’s projected to generate a 15% return on investment (ROI). But beyond the numbers, the mission runs deeper.

“Trans Africa is more than a service, it is a long-term strategic commitment to driving inclusive trade across Africa,” said Satish Singh, Vice President P&L, CCI Worldwide Logistics.

Built for Complexity, Designed for Scale

Africa’s logistics landscape is complex: fragmented infrastructure, regulatory barriers, and widely varied customs procedures are daily realities. Trans Africa is purpose-built to tackle these head-on. It’s designed for a wide range of stakeholders, importers, exporters, 3PLs, e-commerce businesses, and NGOs, seeking dependable, tech-enabled logistics solutions in a region where reliability is often the exception, not the rule.

From door-to-door services to real-time shipment tracking, the offering aims to provide the end-to-end visibility and control that modern supply chains demand.

Global Experience, Local Focus

CCI Worldwide Logistics isn’t new to global supply chain challenges. The company is backed by 48 years of operational excellence, with a presence in 105 countries, 48 Indian cities, over 7 million sq. ft. of warehousing, and a fleet of 1,200+ vehicles operating through 20+ ports and airports in India. That depth of experience gives CCI the confidence, and capacity, to take on the complexities of African logistics.

Strategic Rollout, Continental Vision

Trans Africa’s launch will initially focus on some of Africa’s most strategically significant logistics hubs:

  • West Africa: Nigeria and Ghana

  • East and North Africa: Kenya and Egypt

  • Southern Africa: South Africa

These regions are being prioritized for their role as trade gateways and their growing influence in shaping regional commerce.

Looking forward, CCI has mapped out a robust expansion plan that includes Francophone West Africa, Central Africa, and landlocked countries like Uganda and Zambia, with the goal of unlocking underserved trade corridors and bridging long-standing infrastructure gaps.

The Big Picture

With Trans Africa, CCI isn’t just entering a new market, it’s making a statement. The company sees Africa not only as a logistics challenge to solve but as a future trade powerhouse to support. This move aligns with broader global efforts to strengthen intra-African trade, especially under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

For businesses operating in or looking to expand into Africa, Trans Africa could be the reliable logistics partner they’ve been waiting for.
